Well, we had another visit from FAO during the previous week. More specifically, Fabrizio Celli from the FAO AGRIS team was here on October 16th (right after his participation in the SemaGrow 5th project meeting) for one more time in order to exchange our views concerning the next steps of AGRIS Web Service. It was a real pleasure for us!! Various meetings were held with the whole AGRIS Team (old and new members – – Nikos Manolis, me & Giorgos Papoutsis as well as our new colleague in the data team Patrycja Weronika Wosiecka –) during the day and interesting outcomes and action plans for the next months came up.
In terms of discussions, soon the users of AGRIS Web Portal will have the chance to provide their feedback on the portal via a questionnaire that we are going to create in order to use the requirements collected for future improvements. The questionnaire is going to disseminated through FAO AIMS and social media of agricultural community and not only. Each one can help in this task by disseminating also through personal social media.
Furthermore, the users of AGRIS and the potential content providers will have the chance in the next months to participate in a series of webinars that will be organized by Agro-Know and FAO. The topics that are going to be covered in few words are about “How to connect your bibliographical data in AGRIS Network” and “Linked Open Data – enabled Bibliographical Data (Lode – BD):methodologies“. The first one will be presented by me and the second one by Fabrizio Celli and Imma Subirats (both from FAO).
We will let you know as soon as we have the schedule ready, so stay tuned!!
