On the week 24-27 of November 2015, Brussels will host the info week for the new Horizon 2020 work programme 2016/2017 for Societal Challenge 2: Food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, maritime and maritime inland water research and bio-economy.

Babis, Vassilis and Thodoris will be there to demonstrate the thematic aggregator in agri-food sector (agINFRA), Coordination Action Big Data Europe and the agINFRA Open Access recommendations for all the new proposals. During the info day, an overview of the new funding opportunities available under the Societal Challenge 2 (SC2) 2016 calls for proposals will be presented. Don’t miss the afternoon sessions on the targeted calls ‘Sustainable Food Security’, ‘Blue Growth’, ‘Rural Renaissance’ and ‘Bio-based innovation’. Don’t miss the Brokerage event, organized by BioHorizon project on 26th of November. Since at the beginning of 2016, will be the first proposal submissions deadlines, this brokerage event is the perfect event for building your consortium. On 26th of November, 2015, the Open Workshop on “IoT Large Scale Pilot on smart farming and food security” will be organized by AIOTI WG06. This is an excellent event for be informed on the “AIOTI WG06 Recommendations for Smart Farming and Food Safety Internet of Things Applications”.
