A “Lean” War Room in AK

The importance of war rooms in times of warfare is proven for many many years now! The term “war room” is also used within the startup community and more specifically introduced in various approaches for customer and product development. Looking at a formal definition in Wikipedia, we see that:

command center or command centre (often called a war room) is any place that is used to provide centralized command for some purpose. While frequently considered to be a military facility, these can be used in many other cases by governments or businesses. June is here for good, so it was about time to define the value of the month. The AK value for June is “Creativity, risk and experimentation”. The definition provided for this value, according to the initial blog post is the following:

We encourage our people to take calculated risks and engage in playful experimentation. We welcome “trial and error” as a cornerstone of learning. We are not afraid to make mistakes because, after all, that’s often the best way to learn. We take risks and are open to are colleagues taking risks too, as long as we learn from them as a team and use them to make better decisions in the future.
