Can Hidden Hunger be visualized? A Vizathon aims to provide the answer!

On Saturday, May 30th 2015, three important organizations will joins forces in order to organize a Vizathon to bring together a variety of professionals to find better ways of using data to tell the story of Hidden Hunger (an issue affecting more than 2 billion people, according to IFPRI).

These organizations are:

  1. The Bread for the World Institute,  an institute that educates opinion leaders, policy makers, and the public about hunger in the United States and abroad. It is also the driving force behind the 2015 Hunger Report (the website is lovely and full of useful information – you have to check it out!)
  2. The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), one of the 15 CGIAR Centers, that seeks sustainable solutions for ending hunger and poverty through research programs, partnerships and the production of high quality research that can shape policies, investments and programs, contributing to a productive, sustainable and resilient agricultural and food system.
