Praxi Network, a non-profit private organisation which links research & industry, promotes innovation & entrepreneurship and fosters transnational cooperation, organized a workshop yesterday, 21/1/2015 about the funding opportunities for IT companies through the FInish project– Future Internet Accelerator for Food, Perishables and Logistics. The workshop was facilitated by Constantine Karamanis, Production & Management Engineer Technology Transfer Consultant at Praxi Network. Agriculture and silos are two terms which play nice together, when referring to agricultural products; silos provide a nice mean of storing large volumes of harvested crops and provide a controlled environment for their post-harvesting management. However, when referring to agricultural data, one may safely claim that the data silos are dead. In fact, they exist but it is only a matter of time before they are either linked with existing backbones or they eventually disappear. Nikos Manouselis has already presented this “data silos” issue very nicely in a really interesting presentation – don’t you agree?

The Final Workshop of the Organic.Lingua project, titled “Using multilingual technologies in web portals – Challenges & Promises”, took place on Thursday, February 6th, 2014 between 15.30-18.30 (CET) at the premises of Città dell’Altra Economia (CAE) in Rome, Italy. It was co-organised by Agro-Know Technologies and University of Alcalá (UAH), both project partners of the Organic.Lingua project. The Agro-Know team was represented at the Workshop by Nikos Marianos.
